Golden French Toast

There’s something about a delicious, warm, scrumptious, fluffy French Toast on a nice and easy morning!!! As a Health Coach, I have learned the importance of slowing down and relaxation. Our bodies are constantly in fight or flight mode (aka the stress response) and if we want to heal our bodies, we need to RELAX!

My secret ingredient in here is Organifi GOLD! This supplement is a combination of turmeric, lemon balm, Turkey Tail mushroom, and Reishi mushroom extract. The key to the fluffy creaminess is a splash of Nut Pods Oat Creamer! I used sprouted bread since it’s not only higher in protein but also doesn’t cause as much of a spike in insulin levels as regular wheat bread does. However, any bread will work. Feel free to double the recipe depending on how many people you’re feeding. I would consider this recipe a single serving! ;) It’s THAT good, you wont want to share!

ingredients:

1 large egg

3 tbsp Nut Pods Oat Creamer

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp Organifi Gold (discount code KHOFITNESS)

3 slices of bread (I used Dave’s Killer Sprouted Bread)

1-2 tbsp coconut oil or avocado oil for cooking

maple syrup as topping (I used Thrive Market organic)

Directions:

  1. Combine the egg, creamer, vanilla extract, and GOLD in a large dish and mix well.

  2. Add the slices of bread so that each one soaks up the mixture. Flip over as needed. Let sit for a few minutes to soak up all of the liquid.

  3. Heat up skillet and add cooking oil. Once that is warm add your soaked bread and cook until golden brown on both sides.

  4. Serve with organic maple syrup.
