The BEST Decision Ever

Over the last year or so, working with Kristine has changed my life. I came across her account on instagram one day, and I am so glad that I did! Some of the big things that Kristine has helped me with lately are motivation, and stress management. As a classic over thinker, life can seem pretty overwhelming at times - but Kristine helps me keep my priorities in check! With teaching me the importance of not only creating a goal, but a SMART goal, she has been there to watch me start, succeed and exceed many obstacles in my life! Thanks to our time together, I no longer get easily overwhelmed while grocery shopping. I now know what to look for, and what to stay away from. “I have been working with Kristine for the last 6 weeks and in that short amount of time, my life has made a complete 180. When I came to her, I was stressed, tired, and exhausted all the time. I was struggling with my health, work/life balance, and my relationships. I knew something had to change. I wanted to experience less stress, more peace of mind, have more energy for work and for my family, a more positive outlook, a better marriage, and also more me time. I was averaging 5 hours of sleep a night, feeling burnt out and resentful, and not making any progress with my health and body goals. I am currently on week 5 with Kristine, and I am amazed at all of the progress I have made with Kristine by my side. *** UPDATE ***

Just completed my 90 days with Kristine and I couldn’t be more proud of myself. Here are my top 5 realizations:

1. We have to let go of the things/people who give you a temporary fix, and find genuine inner peace. Feeling whole alone is the goal.

2. 95% of serotonin is created in our tummy. The key to a balanced mental/emotional health starts with your diet.

3. My body is powerful and full of energy that I use on a daily basis to balance work/home/social/mom life.

4. Overall mental, physical, and emotional wellness has NOTHING to do with the number on the scale.

5. We have to honor our body, honor our hunger, fullness, tiredness, our emotions, etc., and most importantly ACKNOWLEDGE IT.

Ellie’s Success Story

A few months ago I hit an all time low with how my mind and body felt on a daily basis. I found myself sleeping 10-12 hours each night, and then spending most of my day lounging around on the couch, without having any energy to do much else.

 I’ve always been bad about drinking water, and most days may have only drank around 20oz of it. Exercise didn’t exist in my life, and I would often binge eat sweets and snacks when I was bored, as an attempt to try and fill a void that my depression and lack of self appreciation had created for me over the years.

I decided that I needed to make a change in my lifestyle, and contacted Kristine. I’d never talked to a health coach before, but had been inspired by Kristine’s page on social media for some time! I didn’t know what would come out of it, but I was scared of what might happen if I didn’t take that first step.

What had stood out to me, was that Kristine really seemed to value the importance of creating healthy and sustainable habits versus focusing on dieting and deprivation. I had tried all kinds of “fad” diets in the past, and had learned that no short term fix would ever work for me.

I told Kristine what I hoped to accomplish by working with a health coach, and we agreed on a 12 week plan to help re-wire my brain into making healthy decisions easily and without guilt. Fast forward to only week 5, and I found myself drinking 130oz of water just the other day, exercising 5 times a week, and having more energy after a long day of work than I ever have had before!

On the days where I do decide to have a sugary treat, I now instantly feel the negative effects that it has on my body and mind, which is something I was never able to differentiate before.

I’m so thankful for the time and care that Kristine has put into each of our sessions. Thanks to her I am learning more about my own self awareness and appreciation each and every day! I can not recommend her enough to anyone ready to get out of their “funk!”.

No More Quarantine Belly!

I started working with Kristine a few weeks after quarantine began. My yoga pants were starting to feel uncomfortable! Clearly, eating Rocky Road out of the carton was not an ideal strategy for improving my health, but I didn’t know where to begin.

Coach Kristine knows where to begin.

She and I had an in-depth conversation about my past weight loss attempts, current health, and goals. Together, we agreed on a 90-day plan for weight loss, exercise, and more.

We used phone calls, handouts, and the Coach Connect app to document my progress, and each week we discussed facets of health I had forgotten or hadn’t ever considered, including meditation. Three or more times a day, I sent Kristine photos of what I ate, and documented other data such as how much water I drank, and how I was feeling, physically and mentally.

On average, I lost about a pound a week, and have continued the program on my own now that the 90 days are over.

Coach K’s approach to health is comprehensive. It’s not just about food; it’s when we eat, how we eat, and how we feel after eating specific foods, along with nutrition fundamentals. I feel that I got a real education about food, and even though we have completed our 90-day program, I’m continuing to study and refine my diet. She helped me develop good habits and stay focused.

Kristine draws on years of experience as a trainer, and what she has learned on her own health journey. She works to provide the optimal outcome for her clients, and she loves what she does.

“After enrolling in Kristine’s 90-day program, I’ve been able to accomplish my weight goal, build healthy eating habits, let go of negative thoughts holding me back, and love myself. Before meeting Kristine, I was in a very dark place mentally and physically. I developed unhealthy eating habits, hated my body and was having a hard time keeping up with my son, which was my main focus when enrolling in Kristine’s 90-day program.

I thought Kristine would teach me how to eat healthy and get back on a manageable work out schedule but boy was I wrong… I’ve learned so much from this program! I am working out 5-6x a week, making healthy choices and creating healthy boundaries with loved ones. I am keeping up with my son (and even out running him), I am loving the way I’m feeling mentally and physically. I am able to manage my stress at work, strengthened my relationship with my husband, family and friends. I feel like a brand new person that is able to overcome everything that comes her way. I completed an obstacle course.. yes an obstacle course, and even though it was challenging I made it through. The journey was not easy but it was definitely worth it, I had my lows but I had Kristine to keep me accountable and had my back when I needed some motivation or just a pep talk. She helped me figure out feelings behind my “cravings” and always being “curious” haha. She never made me feel bad for having the slice of pizza or chips but helped me figure out the “WHY” and also a healthy balance to being okay to have a slice of pizza once in a while (just not the whole pizza).

“My 90 day journey with Kristine was such an eye-opening experience and I’m beyond glad that I made the decision to start working with her. Before working with Kristine, I was involved in a car accident that put me in months of psychical therapy, which meant months away from the gym. Once I did receive the “okay” from my doctor to return to my normal fitness routine, I found that my relationship with the gym had completely changed. My body had changed. I had lost a decent amount of muscle and was honestly intimidated to even attempt to return to certain classes at the gym… because I just assumed it would be too difficult. And I was kind of right. It was hard and my body took a lot time to readjust. That’s where Kristine came in. She truly helped me rebuild my body, my strength, and my motivation to keep pushing forward. “I, like many people, have tried so many different fad diets and/or workouts to try and lose weight. But time and time again, I would get stuck in the same vicious cycle; go on extreme diets, workout until I could barely move, see some results but then ultimately gain all the weight back and then some. It got to the point where my relationship with food became unhealthy and I just gave up on caring. What was the point? I was just going to gain it all back anyway, right?

But, as I got older, I started to notice that I couldn't keep up with my 10 year old son when we went on hikes or bike riding and that I was constantly tired, and had no motivation to do anything. My stress and anxiety increased and I quickly realized that if I didn't change something soon, my health was going to further hinder my ability to have a long healthy life with my family.

I started following Kristine on IG and found that I connected with her stories on living a healthy lifestyle. She is also the first coach I have really ever heard talk about food without categorizing as "good" or "bad" foods. It just took one conversation with her to know that she was a different kind of coach and for the first time, I felt like I might be able to do this!

She literally showed me in our first meeting that dieting is not the answer and that what I needed to really focus on are my goals and the "why" behind those goals. Kristine has been so amazingly supportive in guiding me towards those goals and helping me unravel the reasons behind my previous relationship with food and exercise. All of our meetings are personal to me and my goals and guess what? I am seeing results! And these results have happened because Kristine has completely opened my eyes to a much healthier way of thinking. She pushes you to dig deep because if you really want to see change, you have to understand what has had you stuck in the first place.

I have been working with her for eight weeks and so far I have lost nearly 8 lbs and 7 inches off my waist! I am at a weight I haven't seen in nearly 10 years. My energy is through the roof and I no longer need caffeine or coffee to get me through the day. My mood has improved and I don't experience that horrible afternoon brain fog. My body actually craves movement and if there are days where I want a burger with all the fixings, I eat it! Kristine's guidance has taught me how to be mindful of the food I eat and to pay attention to what my body tells me. I look forward to our weekly sessions and learn something new every time. "Three years ago I was attending a Krav Maga class Kristine was instructing. I began following her Instagram @livewellwithkristine and took a nutritional class with her as well. In late 2018 I had seen a Naturopath who helped me uncover what it will take to maximize my cardiovascular health and digestive health. I had committed to making those changes but was missing the physical part. In Late January of 2019 I had come to terms that I can own my fitness but I had to admit I lacked the discipline. I needed the accountability. I hate carving time that can so easily be eliminated if I am busy. But I faced myself and admitted that my "busy" was usually a true total waste of time. I was very distracted. I am not good at time management, I lacked the confidence of knowing what to do when I hit the gym. In an attempt to manage being a wife, mother and career oriented, I was truly overwhelmed. In God's perfect timing, Kristine had posted she was taking on new clients. I reached out immediately. I knew, based off my experience with her in her fitness class, that this was going to be a tough dose of reality. However, what I learned was that it wasn't tough... Kristine's approach to coaching is so genuine. I also learned through the first few sessions that being in the gym had little to do with my actual fitness goals. It was mindset. “60 Days ago I started a new journey towards a healthier life with the help of my health coach Kristine Hedrick. I had been working out almost everyday and was getting stronger and building muscle, but I was not able to lose that stubborn fat.

When I started with Kristine I had a few goals I wanted to achieve. I wanted to lose 15 pounds of fat, have six pack abs and eat healthier food that was sustainable and support my workouts, not a diet that would fail. Kristine started me on a low sugar and carbs, high protein and fat food plan. I kept up with same workouts I was doing before and I started losing the fat almost immediately. My energy levels were amazing and I felt so much stronger. After 3 weeks I had already achieved my goals and actually had to add carbs to my diet so I wouldn't lose any more weight. Checking in with Kristine every week really helped me keep at it and tweak my eating habits into something I can maintain. I realized that not all carbs are the devil and that, yes, I can have cake every once in a while and not feel bad about it!

I did a body scan at the start of this and I just did my second scan. I lost 12 pounds of fat equaling a 8% drop and gained 4 pounds of muscle. I am now 18.7% fat and can finally see the results of all of my hard work. I am in the best shape I have ever been in since high school and have so much energy I am literally jumping off the walls!

"My name is Nicole and I have worked with Kristine on the 90 Day Total Transformation.

When I found Kristine I was a teeny bit of a mess… I had gained some weight that was not coming off, I did not have confidence, I was not loving myself and overall just not happy with me. And I had been living like this for a couple of years, sort of feeling sorry for myself. Working with Kristine was a bit of a challenge as I had to step WAY out of my comfort zone, but I am so glad I did. I learned so much about the kinds of food that made me feel good, that gave me energy and kept me sustained, and foods, while I may have loved, were draining me. We talked about my MOFA (motivating factor) and she always kept me on task pushing me toward my end goals. There were a couple of assignments that were hard for me and I did have some setbacks. "I had the privilege of working with Kristine as my health coach at a time when I needed guidance, discipline, and advice. As I prepared for an upper level Krav Maga belt test, there was something missing and preventing me from physically being my best. As much as I trained and watched what I ate, I still wasn’t’ able to accomplish not only my fitness goals, but also a confident mindset. What I needed was professional assistance and luckily for me, Kristine was there to help.
